PRESS RELEASE: Jay Boehmer Joins Kintela Group As Partner

Kintela Group, a communications and live experiences firm specializing in business travel, has announced that Jay Boehmer has joined as a Partner.

Jay brings more than two decades of experience as one of the global business travel industry’s leading journalists and event facilitators. Over that time, he has developed deep subject-matter expertise across the global travel ecosystem, alongside a strong network of senior relationships and a level of trust and credibility that few achieve.

At Kintela, Jay will work across client strategy, thought leadership, content development and industry engagement, helping organizations navigate complexity, sharpen their narratives and communicate with greater clarity and confidence.

Kintela’s managing partner Martin Ferguson said: “Jay brings experience, credibility and perspective that directly benefit our clients. He knows this industry inside out, understands how senior audiences think, and adds real depth to the work we do.”

Jay said: “Kintela is building something thoughtful and distinctive in the industry. Joining as a partner allows me to apply my experience more directly to client work, across markets and disciplines.”

Jay spent the early part of his career at Business Travel News, where he managed coverage across multiple core areas of the travel ecosystem, including payment, expense, travel management, airlines, hotels, ground transportation, technology and distribution. He was also instrumental in the creation, formation and launch of PhocusWire, now one of the leading global sources of travel technology news and analysis.

From 2014 until late 2025, Jay served as Editor-in-Chief of The Beat, a premium, subscription-based news and intelligence service for senior business travel executives. During that time, he broke major industry stories, conducted in-depth interviews with global leaders, led proprietary research projects and hosted The Beat Live, bringing industry debate from the page to the stage.
